Impact Summit 2018 was held in Top Hotel Prague from 21st-23rd of October. After preparations which commenced in January 2018, with a small team of students we have founded an event which was unique in its structure and offered delegates experience, which no other conference can provide. Throughout two conference days, we witnessed six excellent workshops which were delivered by world-class speakers.

  • Ms. Pavla Gomba, UNICEF Czech Republic Executive Director. The title of the presentation was: Issue- Action- Impact: UNICEF's perspective on delivering global results in the increasingly challenging environment
  • UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) workshop. Title of the workshop was: How to engage youth on SDG 16
  • Italian Embassy: European Union Diplomacy
  • Angela Seanor from Great Britain: Social Evolution
  • Onyi Anyado from Great Britain: How to be a leader of Distinction
  • Czech Cultural Workshop

The entire Summit was aiming to tackle the 16th Sustainable Development Goal- Peace Justice and Strong Institutions. During the opening ceremony, 4 key Note Speakers delivered their speech.

  • Salam Kedan, Founder of Salam Centre for Peace from Palestine
  • Omar Al Busaidy, Global Speaker and entrepreneur from the United Arab Emirates
  • Robin de Zeeuw, MUN mentor and representative of MUN Impact from the Netherlands
  • Monika Babcanova, 2015 Peace Award Winner from Slovakia

After the Opening Ceremony, delegates were sent to committees in which they created resolutions on two sub-goals of the 16th Sustainable Development Goal.

1) Promote the rule of law at the national and international levels and ensure equal access to justice for all

2) Ensure public access to information and protect fundamental freedoms, in accordance with national legislation and international agreements.
