Can you even imagine how the global economy suffers due to the outbreak of Coronavirus? Millions of people without work which equal even more people without food and money to make sure children receive a proper education. Without doubt this is the biggest shock for the global economy in the history of human kind as it was unexpected and nobody could have foreseen this. It is predicted that global growth will struggle to bounce back from the lockdowns, travel restrictions and business closures meant to contain the pandemic. World Bank Group President David Malpass said on Tuesday that the pandemic "could push as many as 60 million people into extreme poverty – erasing much of the recent progress made in poverty alleviation".
"To return to growth", he added, "our goal must be rapid, flexible responses to tackle the health emergency, provide cash and other expandable support to protect the poor, maintain the private sector, and strengthen economic resilience and recovery.” In order to achieve this we have to mobilise as many youth change-makers as possible because without their innovative ideas our world will fall in the worst economic depression of the history.
